RESTART IL. ECONOMY
The RESTART IL. ECONOMY Conferences were established to bring cutting-edge Israeli innovation and leading Israeli entrepreneurs to the financial capitals of the world – to meet face to face with investors, in an environment of support and solidarity, to discuss investment opportunities.
We believe that it is of great and urgent importance, in the aftermath of the October 7th attack on Israel and the war that ensued, to be proactive, and initiate a restart process to regain investors’ trust, help stabilize the high-tech sector and create a renewed momentum of growth and fortitude for Israel’s economy.
RESTART IL. ECONOMY serves as a platform to enable this process and show those who believe in Israel that Israel’s high-tech industry will face any challenge with determination and a spirit of entrepreneurship and will continue to provide opportunities and value to investors.
Previous Conferences
London | 2023
The first RESTART IL. ECONOMY conference was held in London on December 14th 2023, and was a great success. Next October was honored with the Market Opening of the London Stock Exchange and was presented to more than 200 British investors. The speakers included the Rt. Hon. Deputy Prime Minister of the UK Oliver J. Dowden, Saul Singer (Startup Nation), Israeli entrepreneur Dov Moran and the CEO of the London Stock Exchange, Julia Hoggett.
Berlin | 2024
The second event took place in Berlin on Feb. 29th, with 22 Israeli startups (Health Tech, Mobility, Climate Tech) and 300 German investors. Speakers in this event included - Dr. Volker Wissing, MP, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport; Andreas Jahn, Member of the Federal Executive Board, Government Affairs and Foreign Trade, The German Mittelstand; Hildegard Müller, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry, Prof. Ronni Gamzu, CEO at the Tel Aviv Souraski Medical Center Ichilov and Prof. Heyo Kroemer, CEO of Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
New York | 2024
The conference in New York was held on May 1st at the World Trade Center, in cooperation with Silverstein Properties, with the participation of Prof. Amir Yaron the Governor of the Bank of Israel, Dr. Brain Friedman President of Jefferies, Israeli hightech legends - Eyal Waldman, Chemi Peres and Izhar Shay, Anat Katz Israel’s Economic Minister on the East Coast, Tal Keren President of Silverstein Properties, Prof. Dan Ariely and MC Ariel Frenkel.
Next October
Our partners in this journey are the Shay family and the meaningful project they initiated - Next October. The initiative set a target to assist 1,200 Israeli startups in memory of all the victims of the October 7th war, helping to revive the high-tech sector and creating thousands of jobs based on the principles of resilience, entrepreneurship and optimism.
The Next October platform connects investors with early-stage Israeli startups that integrate the stories and memories of the October 7th victims into the core of their venture. Through mentorship, networking, and a commitment to ethical values, these startups will transform the legacy of loss into a driver of innovation and progress.

RESTART IL. ECONOMY aims at restarting the investment cycle in the Israeli high-tech sector by enabling Israeli startups and entrepreneurs to meet with investors to create investment opportunities in an environment of support and solidarity.
In each conference 20 Israeli Startups, active in different fields and stages, will participate and showcase cutting edge technologies and ideas.
The fields include: Medi-Tech and Digital Healt, Climate-Tech and Impact, AI, Cyber Security, and Fin-Tech.
The Curator Committee
To enable an effective process of selecting exceptional startups for the Restart IL conferences a special volunteer-based Curator Committee was formed by Dr. Nimrod Kozlovski, a veteran High-Tech lawyer, and founder of Cytactic, a Cyber startup.
These curators are esteemed figures in the high-tech industry and venture capital funds, bringing with them to the evaluation and selection process a wealth of knowledge, contacts, experience and insights - and most importantly a deep sense of commitment to the agenda Restart IL.
In addition to a public open call to the Israeli High-tech ecosystem, we are basing the selection on the startup communities of Next October, the Israel Export Institiute and Innovation Authority and of our partners.
